Great location for Wembley stadium. Hotel was a huge disappointment.bedrooms hot & stuffy and had massive air con unit which made dreadful noise all night. Bathroom an experience the shower was in the bath but a glass shower screen prevented anyone from turning on the tap or shower. I rang to reception and was told Yes we know about that!!! What then why is it there? I had to climb in the bath (no safety handle) turn on the tap get a cold blast for about 1 minute and finally get a luke warm shower. No rubber safety mat supplied so getting out safely was tenuous. I was not impressed with the cleanliness scraped a thick layer of dust off bedside phone.Pillows wafer thin and beds dipped in the middle. Windows really awful curtains hanging off the rail. Also worth noting this hotel has smoking rooms and the smell was very offensive to me as a non smoker. In fairness they did change my room to a non smoking one.
Stainless steel lifts had marks everywhere and splashes of unknown substances!
Menu was very expensive for what was basic basic food from a very cheap supplier. I opted for Hawain pizza ladled with garlic tinned pineapples and a few flakes of ham. £8 Day 2 ordered the soup of the day asparagus £5.95!!! I suspect it was a cup-a-soup definitely not fresh nor asparagus.served with a v.poor doughy bread bun YUK! chicken tikka masala which was microwaved white rice with chicken pieces slightly coated in something with a mini nan £13.95 it was dreadful couldn't eat it. Most irritating on first night a large party of indians arrived same time as me. I was encouraged not to eat in the restaurant but in the bar. I asked to have the buffet curry dishes (which looked and smelled nice) and I would pay accordingly. They refused. 2nd night same thing but this time I said No I want to eat in the restaurant . This night it was Germans tucking in to large plates of hot vegetables meat, sauces roast potatoes. I took pity on another English guest who was being messed around and encouraged to eat in the bar offered her a seat at my table which she took. We both asked to eat the buffet and pay. Again refused. Only a la carte we both left our food. No one asked why. Breakfast was awful no menu continental was slice of cheese and tinned fruit cocktail & a croissant. Hot buffet scrambled eggs only. Bacon sausage mushroom & tomatoes.& bean. Hash browns ran out not refilled. Grab your own toast tea & coffee & juice. At table no cutlery salt pepper or sauces so back again to buffet area. Result cold breakfast . Also worth noting they don't serve breakfast till 8am on weekends. Useless to us having to register at stadium by 7.45am. Staff were nice people but not well trained or aware of customer needs.
Top Tip
I was not impressed by the menu so asked where else I could go. I was told the area was not safe for me as a lone woman on my own at night. It was 98% Asian population only a "few white faces". I have neigbours of all nationalities at home so usually un fazed by mixed areas but on this occassion I was put off so only went there and back to the stadium.
